Pure Imitation Maranie

Hi.

Just a post to say I'm still alive, and actually found a chance to breathe for the first time this week. But to sum up this week would be tedious. So an abridgement of good things:

- "Glitter" is a hysterical movie if you MST3K it.
- You think you can slack off at work n' I won't say anything 'cas I'm too nice? Like hell I won't.
- Even after the death of Coby's grandmother, I can still make her feel better and laugh like I always have when things got rough.
- I'm getting respect at my new job, plus actually getting shit done.
- My paycheck was killer.
- Chip's having a party in a couple weeks.

That's all for now. I'll keep all y'all informed next time I have 5 minutes and my computer's working. :-P

So here it is, another evening where I had lots of smarmy comments gathered from the day. Where I had some good news in getting the e-mail address of an old friend from my high school days, and some insight onto bad Columbus drivers. Hell, if I could pull off the html, I may have even been able to post a picture of Darren's ass.

But coming home has made me realize that things aren't good, aren't funny, aren't wonderful to behold. All I want to do is sleep and go back to work. Anything to make me forget.

I stay here online, hoping that a TV show has waylaid my friends and they'll be back on shortly. Not like I'll tell them what's wrong. Just be nice to clear my mind for a change.

OK, so this weekend:

Cool, in the fact that Darren managed to pull off another kick-ass party.

Bad, in that Jason and I finished the party in a huge fight.

Good, in meeting Kopi face-to-face for the first time yesterday as we tooled around Athens.

Bad, in the argument Jason and I got into today.

Good, in going into work and getting some shit done.

Bad, in the fact that I had to be there in the first place.

And bad, in the fact that all arguments haven't changed a damn thing we were arguing about.

So I guess the tally is, Weekend Bad. But it was almost there. Almost.
