Pure Imitation Maranie
Friday, March 29, 2002I got this off of Kopi's site, here's my results:![]() Nocturnal exploration? He he he...That could be fun, especially with: ![]() posted by Maranie on 3/29/2002 11:53:00 PM Thursday, March 28, 2002Much like the results of this test, the test itself is all thanks to a Chip:![]() You're Spike. An English badass. At least you were until they put that stupid chip in your head. And then you fell in love with the slayer... Snap out of it, man! posted by Maranie on 3/28/2002 11:43:00 PM I want to see Ice Age just because I hear there is a running gag involving a squirrel in it. How silly is that? :-P posted by Maranie on 3/28/2002 11:14:00 PM Tuesday, March 26, 2002ACK. Do I hate the necessary evil that AIM has become in my life. Ah, yes, it is at once glorious (chatting with three people at once! Whoo-hoo! OK, never said I was a social butterfly, people, sheesh) and maddening, the latter exemplifying itself in my situation tonight. Jason is out with co-workers this evening, leaving Maranie home alone to totally monopolize the computer and chat away with her friends without worry of neglecting her hubby. She is surfing away when hark! There's Chip, online to chat, but they get maybe two exchanges going before AIM says "Muh-ha-ha" in an evil-laugh sort of way and BOOM! No more chat. Now, I'm back. I'm on AIM. Alas, Chip is not. I don't know if he got booted too, or if he just gave up waiting for my ass to get back. Maybe both. Maybe neither - maybe it's suppertime, and the food's ready so he's going to nosh. Which I should do too, although supper isn't ready. In fact, it's still in the cupboard, waiting to be boiled and then smothered with tomato sauce. But these things take effort on my part, so perhaps I'll just stay online a little while longer, enjoying the computer time while I have it..... posted by Maranie on 3/26/2002 07:28:00 PM Seems like the only time I have to post is on my lunch break anymore. Which is bad, because then I'm in work mode and not in snarky, observational mode. And that sucks when re-reading your own posts. I just wish I could type while I drive, as I come up with the best insights on my way to and from work. And they're always well-phrased too. I commit them to memory until the first heavy breaking, the first road closing, the first traffic report on the radio. And then they're gone forever and, unfortunately, forgotten as well. I should just take a tape recorder with me, but dammit I hate transcription. Plus, since I get other wonderous inspirations in the shower, it would have to be waterproof too. So I think I'll stick a fork in this lunch break, get back to work, and further lament the death of my creativity. Bah. posted by Maranie on 3/26/2002 01:50:00 PM Monday, March 25, 2002Bleh.The weather's absolute shit here, I got to work 15 minutes late after sliding through sleet, ice, and (as some morning DJ described it) snowflakes "as big as silver dollars." This could put a damper on after-work drinks with Susan and her friend Colleen at a trendy new bar called M, followed by 99 cent margaritas at Tumbleweeds. To add to all this, I'm fucking freezing in my office, my brain seems set to sleep mode, and the work is in a continous renewal cycle of work out, larger amount back in. Plus I'm in an overall pissy mood becaues...well, I guess it's just a good day for me to be pissy! Bah! At least I get some time during my lunch break to post here. But speaking of which - once again, need to go, and dammit I was on a roll too. Ah well. posted by Maranie on 3/25/2002 12:43:00 PM Sunday, March 24, 2002So I ended up going to the Blue Jackets game Thursday night - long story involving lost tickets, but it all turned out well in the end. Despite the Jackets losing yet another game, and the tragedy of the weekend before, I had fun.Last night was the Pampered Chef party at Gina's place. I was invited by Susan, of course, who will soon be moving into her new condo! I'm so happy for her. And of course, I'm thrilled because she'll be moving much closer to where I live. And today was a big ole' nothing. Goofed off. Bobby came over and we all went to the California Pizza Kitchen at Polaris for dinner. Good stuff. Good evening. That's about it. I think after the past week, though, I needed that. I know Jason will probably tell me I'm a goof too, for having all those links up there. But hopefully if he does, he'll leave a comment, unlike SOME of my other readers. *Ahem* ;-) Besides, I think it's hysterical that Polaris HAS a link. And follow the pizza kitchen one and check out the quote - so did BOTH guys say that or what? Sorry, it's late. I do believe we've reached stupid o' clock. :-) posted by Maranie on 3/24/2002 02:59:00 AM |
