Yesterday Jason and I checked out the Ohio State Fair. And we had a very good time.What could I complain about? We got free tickets on the way in from a woman who had too many. It rained but only briefly. We took a helicopter ride - Jason's first - and flew over the fair, checking out the Columbus skyline and the OSU campus in the distance. We ate a chocolate-covered frozen banana and roasted ears of corn. We looked at chickens. (Well, at least Jason dug that.) We bought a beautiful original oil painting for our new living room. We won a couple prizes, toured a home made from a giant redwood log, and took some pictures.
We had a wonderful time, and I hope we can return next year.
As for today - our flooring is getting delivered this afternoon! It will sit in our place, adjusting to the temperature and humidity of our home, and will be set in on Wednesday.
Also today: I am freezing my ass off here in the office. Man, is it COLD. I'm not the only one, either - Beth has bitched about it too, and I caught Michelle shivering a while ago. It is downright chilly in here.
Nothing else to say today, no snarky comments or words of wisdom. Too tired for those, so this entry will stay remarkably dull. I think my brain is freezing as well, so off I go to surf a few more minutes before my lunch break is over.
