Hmmm...Could put some more wacky links on this post. Could mention I'm only posting out of some feeling of obligation to do so, since the blog is here. Could mention the frustrations of homeownership - toliet trouble, involuntary strobe lighting in the kitchen, so many frigging boxes that I have to post at work because it's going to take YEARS to get a damn spot cleared for the computer.But I must give a shout out to someone I thought I'd never hear from again: My old friend Thumper.
I met Thumper at the West Virginia Governor's Honors Academy over a decade ago. Around July 4 this year, I posted this big spiel about GHA and waxed nostalgic. As luck would have it, Thumper went on a random search of his name one day (because how many people named "Thumper Maxson" could be out there), the blog archive popped up, and soon I'm getting an e-mail from the dude. Plus, I just sent him a link for the main blog site, so I thought he might appreciate a mention. :-) And it beats me kvetching about the house some more, or adding links that only I find to be amusing, or whatever.
More stresses continue here, but I will not be mentioning them. At least not now. Maybe later.
